Scary stuff.
Parts of the Rathfarnham area in South Dublin have been closed off after a suspicious device was found there close to midday.
The Army’s Bomb Disposal Unit has also been called to the scene, where they are now working to identify the device and disarm it if needs be.
Traffic is being diverted away from the affected area.
“We’ve no further information to give at this time,” said a spokesperson for the Irish Defence forces when speaking to the Irish Times.
This is not the first bomb scare in South Dublin of the last few months. Roads were closed in Ranelagh only last month when a suspicious device was found in a café.
