Police in Las Vegas have arrested a man and charged him with trying to steal a police man’s in order to cause harm to Presidential hopeful Donald Trump.
Michael Steven Sandford, who is a British citizen, had been living illegally in America after overstaying his visa.
During his court appearance, his public defender Heather Fraley said Sandford appeared to be competent and hadn’t been diagnosed with a mental illness but that he has autism and previously attempted suicide.
According to the police, Sandford has admitted to learning how to shoot a gun on June 17 before driving from California to a Trump rally in Las Vegas with the active intention of shooting and killing the presumptive Republic nominee for President.
Sandford has not entered a plea at court.
