More snow tonight, but warmer weather is on the way (thankfully)…
The icy conditions are set to linger around for most of the morning and Met Éireann have warned motorists to watch out for black ice on untreated patches of road.
Today will see outbreaks of rain and sleet pushing into the west and southwest of the country in the afternoon with temperatures ranging between 1 and 6C.
Tonight, Met Éireann predicts that, “sleet and snow will become widespread for a time, with most of the snow likely over Ulster, east Connacht and parts of north Leinster.”
Thankfully, tomorrow will be a bit warmer with a few short sunny spells and the overall outlook for the coming week appears to be looking up as temperatures are set to get back to higher levels by the weekend.
