Copper Face Jacks’ profits from last year are a sign of just how popular it is

Dublin nightclub Copper Face Jacks is always the source of interesting conversation when it comes to the Irish social scene.

Some people have no problem admitting that they absolutely love the place and would go nowhere else on a night out.

Others swear they wouldn’t go near the place nor have they ever been near it.

Others still tell their friends that they don’t like it, yet have been there so often that they’re probably entitled to a Gold Card at this stage.

We’re sure owner Cathal Jackson cares little about what people say because the Harcourt Street venue pulls in the punters night after night and makes quite a nice wedge too.

The pre-tax profits for Cathal and Paula Jackson’s Breanagh Catering Ltd, released today, show that the firm earned a pre-tax profit of just under €5 million in 2015, which equates to approximately €95,000 a week or a little over €13,500 a day.

It’s a little bit down on the pre-tax profits of €5.55 million the firm made last year, but is still a massive figure.

In further good news for Jackson, meanwhile, the firm’s cash pile has increased by just under €4.5 million since last January and now stands at €50.9 million, while the company’s accumulated profits have reached a tidy €63.3 million.

Now just imagine how many pints you could buy with that.
