Two further Covid-19 deaths confirmed, 542 new cases

Sunday’s figures have been released.

Two further Covid-19 deaths have been confirmed, as well as 542 new cases.

There has now been a total of 65,394 confirmed cases of Covid in Ireland, while there has been 1,947 Covid-related deaths.

Of the cases notified today, 181 are in Dublin, 59 are in Donegal, 50 are in Limerick, 36 are in Cork, 25 are in Kildare, and the remaining 191 cases are spread across 20 other counties.

As of 2pm on Sunday, there are 283 Covid-19 patients in hospitals across the country, with 39 of them in the ICU.

There have also been 13 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.

The Republic of Ireland saw 1,440 fewer cases this week, than it did the week before.

Earlier on Sunday, Northern Ireland’s Department of Health reported that a further 420 individuals have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.

Sadly, a further seven deaths have also been reported up north.
