Covid-19 vaccine portal will now open for people aged 30-34 tomorrow

Alan Loughnane

Good news.

People who are aged in the 30 to 34 group can register for an mRNA vaccine from tomorrow on the HSE vaccine portal, Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has confirmed.

Those in this group are also allowed to receive the single dose Janssen vaccine with their local pharmacy, where the rollout began on Monday this week.

“Registration for the 30-34 age group for an mRNA vaccine will now open tomorrow, Wednesday July 07,” Donnelly wrote on Twitter.

“Appointments will follow in a matter of days with the first vaccinations for this group next week”

It is expected 34-year-olds will be able to apply first, with registration working backwards throughout the ages in the subsequent days.

To register online for a vaccine, you will need a mobile phone number, an email address, your PPS number and your Eircode.

If you do not have these things, you are advised to call the Covid-19 helpline to register by phone instead.
