Doctors remove two pints of blood from a man so his 17-hour erection goes down

Cross your legs for this one lads…

We don’t know about you but the thought of someone sticking needles in our penis doesn’t sound like any craic at all. But that is exactly the treatment that a man called Jason Garrett from Yorkshire in England had to endure on Friday.

According to The Sun, Jason had sex with a friend on Thursday night and woke up with an erection, not an unusual situation for any bloke out there.

However, Jason’s wood wouldn’t go away. After trying things like jogging (?) and a cold bath, he decided to go to hospital.

Describing it as ‘the most embarassing day of his life’, doctors set about taking down the unwanted erection. Their solution was very grim indeed; withdrawing blood from the swollen member with a needle.

More than two pints of blood were removed while they also injected the penis 24 times with drugs to restrict the bloodflow.

“Seeing them stab my penis with a needle was a horrible experience — like something out of a horror film. The pain was a 10 out of 10,” Jason told the paper.

It seems Jason was suffering with something called priapism, where the penis remains erect but it is not caused by sexual arousal. If not treated, it can do serious damage to the penis.

Luckily, after 17 hours, Jason’s priapic penis was no more, bar one grisly side effect.

“It is completely normal now, apart from the fact that it looks like it’s been through a war. It’s all a bit black and blue,” he said.
