Dog-lovers rejoice: Ryanair are thinking about letting you bring your four-legged friends on board

Soaring like a… beagle.

Ryanair are rethinking their no-pets-allowed policy, the company’s chief commercial officer David O’Brien has revealed.

While no new policy has been introduced, the popular airline is considering making exceptions to allow small dogs in the cabin for short flights to Europe and the UK.

O’Brien acknowledged that ‘what makes one person happy might make another person unhappy’, meaning that there are probably plenty of people out there who would think of being seated near a barking dog as they would as badly as they think of sitting near a crying baby.

Not to mention, the recent history of animals on planes is less than reassuring.

In order to be cleared to travel, dogs would have to be demonstrably healthy, microchipped and have a pet passport.
