PICS: Firearms, ammo, drugs and a monkey seized by Gardaí in Dublin raid

The operation took place in Finglas on Friday morning.

Two men and one woman have been arrested by Gardaí following a search operation in Finglas, Dublin on Friday morning.

Drugs, firearms, ammunition and a live animal, reportedly a caged monkey, were retrieved.

The searches were carried out at a premises on Ratoath Road. During the course of the investigation, Gardaí discovered the following:

  • One machine pistol
  • One sub-machine gun
  • One .357 calibre revolver
  • 300 rounds of assorted 9mm and .357 ammunition
  • 227 rounds of 12 gauge shotgun cartridges

Finglas

Gardaí also seized cannabis with an estimated street value of €29,500 and cocaine with an estimated street value of €97,300, pending analysis.

A quantity of clothing with a value of €3,000 was also seized.

Two men, one aged in his 30s and the other in his 40s, were arrested at the scene and are currently being detained at Finglas Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.

A woman in her 30s is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
