Hundreds of thousands of Dublin Bus passengers will have their travel plans disrupted next month after trade unions SIPTU and NBRU served notice of industrial action this morning.
There will be complete shutdown of Dublin Bus services on September 8,9, 15, 16, 23, 24.
The news of industrial action comes after workers rejected a Labour Court recommendation of an 8.2% pay rise over three years. Dublin Bus drivers want their salaries to be in line with Luas workers who negotiated an increase of 18% earlier this year.
