First round of Electric Picnic 2019 tickets sold out in record time

Rudi Kinsella

We imagine there’s a lot of angry, ticketless people out there right now.

The first batch of Electric Picnic 2019 tickets went on sale on Friday morning at 9am.

Following last weekend’s brilliant weekend in Stradbally, people couldn’t wait to get their hands on tickets for next year’s event.

So naturally, people were ready and waiting for tickets to go on sale at 9am this morning.

But unfortunately for some, the first round of tickets sold out in a matter of hours…

It is unclear how many tickets were made available on Friday morning, but the words ‘Sold Out’ appeared on the official website only hours after they were put on sale.

A statement was put on the official EP website, saying: “Such is the demand for tickets that all Early Bird, Loyalty Tickets, Family Camping, Family Campervan and Campervan tickets have already sold out.

“Fans of the festival who missed out on tickets today will have the opportunity to purchase tickets when they go back on sale early next year.

“Electric Picnic 2019 will see an increase in capacity of 2,500 bringing the capacity to 57,500 and with 600 acres on the beautiful Stradbally Estate music fans can look forward to some brand new areas.”

So if you didn’t manage to get a ticket, all hope is not lost.

Just make sure you’re on your toes the next time they go on sale…
