Fancy working abroad? Canada and New Zealand are looking for Irish workers

Up to 10,000 Canadian working visas will be made available to Irish workers this year…

According to reports today, the migration specialists VisaFirst.com are expecting Canada’s IEC (International Experience Class) Working Holiday Visa programme to open over the next few weeks.

While this might come as good news to those of you who are looking to find work outside of Ireland, the places are expected to be snapped up fast. You have been warned.

Speaking about the high demand of places to the Irish Examiner Edwina Shanahan, manager with VisaFirst.com, said: “We believe this year’s visas will be akin to Frozen dolls at Christmas.”

Those thinking of applying for the 2015 visas are advised to get all the relevant documentation and information sorted now, before it’s too late.

If Canada sounds too cold for you then you may be glad to hear that New Zealand is also looking for Irish workers from certain areas of the construction industry.

There is currently a high demand for scaffolders, carpenters, plumbers, and also qualified mechanics.
