He’s made headlines for suspected involvement in a hit-and-run over the weekend and has been held for suspected murder. We all know him as Carl from Shameless but in real life he goes by Elliott Tittensor.
The actor handed himself in to police yesterday after his BMW Z4 hit an 18-year-old male in Kentish Town, North London – an incident which left the teenager blind.
Elliott’s girlfriend Kaya Scodelario (pictured above together), who plays Effy Stonem in Skins, was also reportedly in the car when the drama unfolded at 2am yesterday.
If you’re not too familiar with Elliott Tittensor here are five things about him which may either jog your memory or you may not already know (one of which is a fabrication):
1. Elliott performed a gay sex scene in a short film
The 20-year-old actor is adorned by thousands of teenage girls but is also popular in the eyes of the gay community. He starred in a short film entitled Protect Me from What I Want, playing a gay character, and he had to ‘perform’ a gay sex scene. Tittensor is on record as saying; “It was the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever had to do but it was good for me as it got me another job.â€
2. Elliott has slept with over 5,000 women*
A hunk in the eyes of women all over – Tittensor has had more than his fair share of ladies. He reckons that the most common thing women tell him is they want to get into bed with him.
3. Elliott originally shared his role in Shameless with his brother
Strangely, Channel 4 bosses opted to rotate shifts of the character Carl Gallagher between Elliott and his twin brother Luke. They shared the role until Luke left the show to become a regular in Emmerdale. In 2003, Elliott and Luke had a brief appearance in Brookside as Terry Gibson’s twin sons.
4. Elliott is a lover of reggae music
Well, this is hardly surprising as he regularly dons Rasta hats. Elliott is a big fan of Gregory Isaacs and recently travelled to Barbados to further his reggae knowledge.
5. Elliott wants to date Sienna Miller
In an interview with undergroundonline.com, Tittensor said that if he was single and had a choice of celebrities to date he would choose Jude Law’s squeeze Sienna Miller – because she looks “quirkyâ€.
