We’re all sorry to see Dougie Howlett retire and his former team-mate Dan Carter is no exception.
Yesterday was a sad day for Munster rugby fans as Doug Howlett announced he was retiring on medical advice. Many had hoped the injury Howlett sustained in March wouldn’t be career ending but we have seen the last of the Kiwi on a rugby pitch.
We brought you some of his best bits yesterday and it contained a few magic moments in black by the all-time leading New Zealand try scorer.
A hero in his homeland, a current rugby darling of the New Zealand public paid his respects to the retiring Howlett on Twitter today.
First Dan Carter tweeted this, before posting a great pic of the two men in the famous black kits.
