Former President George W. Bush ‘could vote for Hillary Clinton’ in US election

Tony Cuddihy

Things just keep getting stranger and stranger.

Former US President George W. Bush could follow the example of his father and vote for Hillary Clinton in the upcoming election.

Bush’s nephew, George P. Bush, says that his uncle could follow the example of George W. Bush’s father – ex-President George H.W. Bush – in casting his ballot for a Democrat rather than go with the Republican nominee, Donald Trump.

The youngest of the three Georges, a Texas land commissioner, was addressing a small Republican rally in San Marcos on Tuesday night when he said that both former presidents in the family may “potentially” vote for the Democratic presidential ticket come Election Day.

Neither of the former Bush presidents has come out in support of Trump during the election campaign.

The latest polls have Clinton and Trump ‘neck and neck’ in the race for the White House, following more controversies over the former Secretary of State’s use of a private email server between 2009 and 2013.
