Galway man dies after car collides with road train in Australia

Very sad news.

A 30-year old man from Galway has died after his car collided with a road train in Western Australia.

According to the Irish Times, the man, who has been named as Ger Scully, is originally from Annaghdown in Galway and had been living in Australia for the last few years.

He had planned to leave Australia next week and come home via Vietnam for Christmas.

Scully was travelling in his car in South Hedland when it collided with a road train at approximately 6pm on Sunday evening. He died at the scene.

Scully is survived by his two brothers and two sisters and his parents Bridie and Paddy.
