Terrible news.
A 16-year old boy from the village of Corofin in Galway has passed away following a tragic swimming accident in Munich last week.
According to the Connacht Tribune, 16-year old Jack McHugh was involved in a swimming accident while he was visiting a relative in Munich.
He had been treated in hospital but passed away on Tuesday.
Jack is survived by his parents Declan and Mary and his two younger sisters.
A post mortem is due to take place in the coming days.
