The crash happened near Drumlish on Thursday evening.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses after a 34-year-old woman was killed during a three-car collision in Longford on Thursday evening.
The crash took place at around 7.20pm on the R198 at Cloonaugh, close to Drumlish.
The driver of one of the cars was pronounced dead at the scene while three others injured in the collision were removed by ambulance to Mullingar Hospital.
Garda forensic collision investigators examined the crash site and the road has reopened to traffic. The vehicles involved have been removed for further examination.
