Gardaí appeal for witnesses after fatal traffic collision in Kildare

Gardaí are looking for witnesses.

Gardaí investigating a road traffic collision in County Kildare have renewed their appeal for witnesses to come forward.

On Thursday (24 January), a man in his 40s died after being struck by a 4×4 vehicle on Dublin Road, Monasterevin. The incident occurred at roughly 6.50pm.

He was treated at the scene by emergency services personnel but was pronounced dead a short time later. The driver of the 4×4 was uninjured.

Neither party has been publicly named by An Garda Síochána.
