JOE

The Gardaí are treating the death of a man in Meath as suspicious, according to reports.

The Irish Independent has reported that the body of a man in his 20s was found near Dunboyne at around midday today. The discovery was made in a field between Dunboyne, Co. Meath and Leixlip in Co. Kildare.

A cause of death has not yet been established, but Gardaí have grounds to suspect that there was foul play involved in the mans death.

The man’s identity has not yet been officially confirmed, according to the Independent.

According to INM crime journalist Robin Schiller, the man had previously survived an attempt on his life.
