In the run up to voting on 25 February we’ve some burning questions we want answers to, and we’ve asked some of our elected representatives to give us those answers.
Here at JOE Towers there are a number of issues that have been bothering us, so we decided to contact the political parties and find out what they have to say.
We’ve created a virtual panel of TDs picked from across the country and across the political spectrum, and each week we’ll be putting one question to all of them and printing their unedited responses.
Our panel consists of the following Deputies:
For Fianna Fáil: Dara Calleary, TD for Mayo
For Fine Gael: Damien English, TD for Meath West
For Labour: Ciarán Lynch, TD for Cork South Central
For Sinn Féin: Pearse Doherty, TD for Donegal South
Question No.2:
“Why is your party leader the right man to lead the country in the years to come and to get us out of the financial mire we’re in? And what qualifies you to represent the young men in your constituency, many of whom will have given up hope in the political elite of Ireland?“
You can read the response of Fianna Fáil’s Dara Calleary here.
You can read the response of Fine Gael’s Damien English here.
You can read the response of Labour’s Ciarán Lynch here.
(The response by Pearse Doherty will follow shortly).
