Here’s how Gary Lineker and others have reacted to Trumps “grab her by the p****” comments

Carl Kinsella

Since he first bulldozed his way to the forefront of American politics by suggesting President Barack Obama was born in Kenya, Donald Trump has crossed so many lines that it seemed many times over he had reached the end of his run.

Somehow, whenever he has been faced with outraged, Trump has simply breezed past it and emerged unscathed in the next week’s polling data.

However, the billionaire businessman’s most recent controversy, stemming from a recorded conversation he had in 2005 where he describes kissing women without their permission and saying ‘You can do whatever you want to them. Grab ’em by the p*ssy’ seems to have truly enraged even Republicans who have hitherto stood by him.

GOP strategist Ana Navarro launched a blistering attack on her candidate on live TV, saying that he is “not fit to be President, not fit to be the Republican nominee, not fit to be called a man.”

Paul Ryan, Republican Speaker for the House of Representatives, said that he was “sickened by what he heard” and cancelled a campaign event he had scheduled with Trump in his home state of Wisconsin.

Other luminaries of the Republican party — including John Kasich, Maroc Rubio and Jeb Bush — have also expressed their revulsion on social media.

Mitt Romney, who challenged Barack Obama for the presidency in 2012, accusing Trump of “demeaning our wives and daughters and corrupting America’s face to the world.”

Other Republicans, such as Utah Senator Mark Kirk, have gone as to withdraw their endorsement of Trump, and asked him to step down as the party’s nominee.

Even Gary Lineker has had a pop at Trump, making the good point that Trump’s remarks amount to an admission of sexual assault and that Trump should be “arrested, not elected.”

The second debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton takes place tomorrow night… We wonder what issues will be on the agenda?
