It’s looking pretty good.
The weather is likely to dictate or at least have a large influence in people’s plans for the last long weekend of the summer, so you’ll be delighted to hear that it’s looking pretty sweet.
Don’t go expecting heatwaves or anything, but we think it’s fair to say that the majority of us will be happy if it’s relatively dry and relatively warm and that’s the way the forecast is shaping up.

Following scattered showers across the country on Thursday – and longer spells of rain in the north – Friday is expected to be sunny and dry for the most part, with highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees and just the odd shower here and there.
It’s going to be slightly cooler on Saturday, but temperatures will still reach as high as 19 degrees and showers will be occasional rather than persistent throughout the day.
It’s more of the same on Sunday, when there will be plenty of dry and sunny spells mixed with some showers and highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees.
The forecast suggests that the decent weather will last through until Monday, when it will be dry for most of the day before unsettled conditions take hold from Tuesday onwards.
That’s good enough for us. Enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend, folks.
