There’s good and bad news.
The glorious spell of weather we’ve been enjoying of late was never going to last forever and this week is likely to see a return to normal, if such a term could ever be applied to the weather in Ireland.
According to Met Eíreann, temperatures will remain warm – up to a maximum of 25 degrees – for most of the week up until Thursday, but they come with the risk of heavy and often thundery showers in places, particularly in the north and northwest.
If it gets too rough, you know what to do…

Things will start to turn on Thursday, when persistent rain is forecast throughout the country, while it’s set to be cloudy and slightly cooler on Friday heading into the weekend, with unsettled conditions set to prevail into next week.
Make the most of it while it lasts, folks.
