If it’s any consolation, the clammy conditions we’ve been having appear to be at an end.
Starting from Monday, temperatures are set to be a lot cooler and fresher than they have been in recent weeks, or for the first half of the week at least, according to Met Éireann.
No more of this for a while then…

After a wet and windy Sunday night, Monday will bring a mix of sunshine and showers and temperatures from 15 to 18 degrees, with drier conditions set to prevail in the evening.
The cool conditions, cooler than average for August, will continue throughout Tuesday and Wednesday, accompanied by some scattered showers and moderate Northwest winds.
It will be a little warmer on Thursday as winds turn to the southwest and while there’s a chance of rain in northern areas, it should stay dry further to the south.
Nothing to get too worked up about but nothing disastrous either; as Irish summers go, we’ll probably settle for that.
