The Slieve Russell made the announcement on Tuesday evening.
The Slieve Russell Hotel in Cavan has announced that it is to temporarily close on Tuesday evening due to an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.
In a release, the hotel’s management said that the outbreak of the ‘Norovirus’ in recent weeks is causing it to take the measure in a proactive and precautionary way.
It says it is closing to maintain the safety of its staff and its patrons, and will reopen as soon as possible.
