Hurricane Ophelia is disrupting all elements of Irish life, from transport, to education, to healthcare.
The HSE has announced this evening that all outpatient appointments originally scheduled for tomorrow will be cancelled, and that patients do not need to attend the hospital, or contact them. The statement further announces that some planned procedures will go ahead tomorrow, and that patients who have a planned procedure scheduled can contact the hospital for status updates.
Priority will be given to urgent procedures.

Similarly, the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection has announced that it will be cancelling all meetings scheduled for Monday October 16 relating to JobPath contractors and welfare payments.
