If you type ‘finegael2011.com’ into your browser’s searchbar, you end up somewhere really weird

Carl Kinsella

We simply cannot explain this.

For starters, we don’t know if finegael2011.com was ever used by Fine Gael during their 2011 campaign, but we do know that exists… and we can’t really imagine it was ever used for anything else.

But that assumption has been thrown into disarray this morning as we found out the finegael2011.com appears to be a website for beauty products, or rather, one very specific beauty product called a ‘Derma Roller.’

So this raises a lot of questions. First, where are all the pictures of Enda Kenny and Leo Varadkar and obligatory mentions of the economic recovery?

Second, why is a website called finegael2011.com being used to market something that removes acne scars, stretch marks and wrinkles? Is there an overlap between people who want to learn about Fine Gael and people who have dermatological blemishes?

This video is embedded on the website and it answers pretty much none of our questions:

If you know why there’d be any connection between ‘finegael2011.com’ and the Derma Roller, please let us know.
