A drunken French man was arrested after he failed to resuscitate a dinghy that he had mistaken for a drowning person.
The French gendarmerie found the 22-year-old by an inflatable boat, in a shipyard in Vannes, in Brittany. You’ll be unsurprised to hear the same shipyard is situated near a string of nightclubs.
He called in both the fire brigade and the police telling them he’d found someone unconscious under the boat.
Dinghy – does not respond to CPR
When the emergency services arrived, they discovered that he was in fact alone and giving CPR to a boat.
‘He was underneath a boat, on his knees, trying to resuscitate a rubber dinghy,’ police told Le Télégramme de Brest newspaper.
Sure we’ve all been there.
