We knew that there would be an overwhelming reaction if, as seems inevitable now, a ‘Yes’ vote passes in the Marriage Referendum, but the mood in Ireland today is approaching Italia ’90 levels of giddiness.
There have been any amount of tweets to sum up the mood in the country today, but of all them, we think this one from Ireland’s Equality Minister Aodhán O’Riordan captures it best.
