Ireland’s oldest person passes away at the age of 109

Ireland’s oldest person, Molly Madden, has passed away in her 110th year.

Molly was from Ballycastle in County Mayo.

According to the Mayo News, Molly (nee Keane) was born in Galway on December 8, 1906.

She moved with her family when she was three-years-old to the village of Kincon in north Mayo.

She later moved to Ballycastle for work and married local man Pat Madden, living in in the seaside village until shortly before her 100th birthday.
