David Atkinson recently returned home from Thailand and boy, does he have a story to tell…
David, who is the official V-Reporter for The Voice of Ireland, returned from a two-week trip to Thailand with his brother this week and he’s since become quite the hit in Thailand thanks to one particular blogger.
Speaking to JOE, David said: “So I’ve just come home from Thailand having spent two weeks with my brother. During our time we went to a 1975 concert, where there were over 5000 people in a packed theatre.
“Being the cheeky divils that we are and utilising the novelty of our western facial features, we started photobombing people taking selfies. We must have gotten in 30 pictures. Incredible crack especially when you haven’t a clue what anyone is saying, just laughing.
“However, this morning I got a post on my wall on FB from my brother he saw this post on the Bangkok Ex Pats Page, one of the women I got a photo with I now looking for me.”
“She has a blog that is getting quite a lot of traffic in Thailand in search for me!”
It’s true, you can check out the blog post in question (be warned, it’s in Thai – and Google’s translated version isn’t much help).
David went on to say: “There are people linking my page on this blog in a bid to link us… I don’t know who she is though…should I make contact JOE?
“I’m now back in Dublin, will I go back!?!?”
We’ve since got back to David to ask him about his next move and what advice he’d give to lads looking for love abroad and this is what he had to say: “I won’t be heading back over no! Unless I get sponsored (or maybe this lady is a rich billionaire?). To all the lads out there, maybe get to know the girl before you go gung hoe into a picture, you never know where it’ll get you!”
