Irish Rail warn that a number of their routes will be disrupted this weekend

Take note…

Irish Rail have warned customers that, due to line improvement works, there will be disruptions on several routes this weekend.

Customers have been urged to check if their route is affected and to book in advance if possible, with a number of stations in Dublin and beyond affected.

Irish Rail have apologised for any inconvenience caused to customers and released the following list of disrupted routes.

Saturday, September 30

  • Dublin Heuston and Cork services will operate every hour in each direction with altered timings, please check the journey planner for full details.
  • Dublin Heuston and Limerick services will operate every hour, connecting to/from all Dublin Heuston and Cork services at Limerick Junction.
  • Dublin Heuston and Tralee services will operate every 2 hours, connecting to/from Dublin Heuston and Cork services at Mallow.
  • 17:05hrs Dublin Heuston to Tralee is cancelled. Passengers should board the 17:05hrs Dublin Heuston to Cork service and change at Mallow. Please note that there will be a delay of 25-30 mins from Mallow to Tralee.
  • Nenagh Line customers, please change at Ballybrophy as normal for connecting services.

DART

  • No DART services will operate between Bray & Greystones.
  • Passengers travelling between Bray and Greystones, please note that Dublin Bus will supplement the existing 84 service and rail tickets will be accepted.
  • A regular train service will operate between Bray, Malahide and Howth.

Dublin Connolly and Rosslare Europort

The following services will operate as a train to Bray with a bus transfer operating between Bray and Greystones, followed by a second train between Greystones and Rosslare Europort;

  • 09:40hrs Dublin Connolly to Rosslare
  • 13:36hrs Dublin Connolly to Rosslare
  • 18:38hrs Dublin Connolly to Rosslare.

06:45hrs Gorey to Dundalk will operate as a Bus transfer Gorey, Arklow, Rathdrum, Greystones and Bray. Onward passengers are asked to avail of alternate services.

Please note the regular passenger service 08:49hrs Dublin Connolly to Dundalk will operate.

The following services will operate as a train to Greystones with a bus transfer operating between Greystones and Bray, followed by a second train from Bray to Connolly Station.

  • 07:20hrs Rosslare to Dublin Connolly
  • 12:55hrs Rosslare to Dublin Connolly
  • 17:55hrs Rosslare to Dublin Connolly

There will be no service to Kilcoole on these days.

DART

  • No DART services will operate between Bray & Greystones.
  • Passengers travelling between Bray and Greystones, please note that Dublin Bus will supplement the existing 84 service and rail tickets will be accepted.
  • A regular train service will operate between Bray, Malahide and Howth.

Dublin to Rosslare Europort

  • 10:25hrs Dublin Connolly to Rosslare will operate as a train to Bray with a bus transfer operating between Bray and Greystones, followed by a second train from Greystones to Rosslare Europort.
  • 09:40hrs Rosslare to Dublin Connolly will operate as a train to Greystones with a bus transfer operating between Greystones and Bray, followed by a second train from Bray to Dublin Connolly.
