Irish woman in Australia has been charged with murder of Irish man

RTÉ has reported that a 25-year-old woman has been arrested by the Australian authorities for the murder of an Irish man in Sydney, Australia.

The police were called to the suburb of Padstow in New South Wales shortly after midnight on Saturday after reports were made of a fight in the area.

Upon arrival, they found the victim “critically injured with a stab wound to his neck.” He was 29 years old, according to reports. He died before he could be brought to hospital, despite the efforts of paramedics. The Journal has further reported that the victim is from Wexford. He has not yet been publicly named.

The woman will appear in court tomorrow. She has been refused bail.

A local man in his thirties was also arrested in relation to the incident.
