Kosovan Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi was left shellshocked this afternoon after opposition politicians in Kosovo expressed their dissatisfaction through the age-old art of egg-pelting.
While Thaçi spoke in front of the parliament, a barrage of eggs began to rain down on him – prompting his bodyguard to run to his defence and protect him with an umbrella.
The recent history of Kosovo, a fledgling state that was once part of Yugoslavia, is a bloody so in many ways eggs are probably not too a big a deal to their politicians.
Let’s hope this doesn’t give Fianna Fáil or Sinn Féin any ideas…
