Bad news for commuters.
Luas staff voted almost unanimously in favour of industrial action today. According to SIPTU, the date of the industrial action would be decided next week.
The Luas staff are seeking pay increases anywhere in the region of 23% to 50%.
According to the Irish Times, any industrial action would affect over 90,000 Dublin commuters on any given day.

Transdev, the company that operates the Luas system, has threatened to withhold bonus payments of between €2,000 and €3,000 if they are to go on strike.
The motion for industrial action was supported by 99% of those who voted.
