No arrests have been made as of yet.
A man in his 20s was seriously injured after a shooting incident in Cork in the early hours of Saturday (16 October).
The incident occurred in the Blackpool area shortly after midnight.
The man in his 20s was rushed to a hospital in Cork where he received treatment for his injuries.
A Garda spokesperson told JOE that his injuries are “serious but not believed to be life-threatening”.
No arrests have been made yet in relation to the discharge of the firearm.
Gardaí say investigations into the incident are ongoing.
