A man in his 60s has died after a road crash in Cork on Friday (25 February).
The collision occurred in the village of Leap at around 11.30am.
It involved one vehicle, which struck a pillar on the N71 outside a private residence.
The man in his 60s was the sole occupant of the van and was seriously injured during the crash.
He was taken to Cork University Hospital, where he passed away overnight.
Gardaí in Clonakilty are appealing to any person who may have information in relation to this collision to contact them.
Any road users who were travelling on the N71, the main road between Skibbereen and Clonakilty, on Friday between 11.00am and 11.30am and who may have camera footage, including dashcam footage, are asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí.
