Man in his 60s dies after van collides with articulated truck in Kerry

The collision occurred on the N21 at approximately 1pm on Tuesday.

A man in his 60s has died after his van collided with an articulated truck on the N21 in Kerry on Tuesday.

Gardai in Listowel are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Ballyduff, Knocknagoshel on the N21 Castleisland to Abbeyfeale Road at approximately 1pm on Tuesday afternoon.

A man in his 60s was brought to Kerry University Hospital following the collision and was later pronounced dead. The driver of the truck was uninjured.

This stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
