The incident happened on Monday afternoon.
A man has suffered gunshot injuries during an incident in Finglas, north Dublin.
The man, who is known to Gardaí, is understood to have been shot in the hand on Monday afternoon.
He was presented at the Mater Hospital on Monday at approximately 5pm with an apparent gunshot wound.
While no official complaint has been made to the authorities at this time, Gardaí are appealing for information in relation to the incident.
