Man in Belfast taken to hospital after brick he threw at charity shop window rebounded in his face

Conor Heneghan

Some might call it karma.

A man in his forties is believed to have been taken to hospital in Belfast last night after a brick that he threw at a charity shop window rebounded in his face.

According to UTV, the brick rebounded off the window and hit him in the face while he was outside the offices of PIPS (Public Initiative for Prevention of Suicide and Self Harm), a suicide prevention charity, in North Belfast last night.

PIPS posted on Twitter last night seeking help after several windows were smashed on the property, with police responding to a report about the incident at approximately 8.25pm.

A number of volunteers helped board up the property last night and as of this afternoon, PIPS were still looking for assistance in replacing the smashed windows.
