Milder weather is on the way next week, but it might not last long

Alan Loughnane

Expect much warmer temperatures early next week.

The worst of the wintry weather seems to be in the rearview mirror for the time being as Met Eireann have said that dry and mild conditions are expected next week.

While Saturday morning was frosty in many places, and the remainder of the day is expected to remain quite cool, from Sunday onwards the it’s promised to be much milder with temperatures returning to average for this time of year.

According to Met Eireann, temperatures will reach double figures during the day on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

Tomorrow should also be milder with top temperatures of 10 degrees which means no more scenes like this…

But after Wednesday, Met Eireann have said that we could once again be facing colder weather but at this moment, exact predictions are not available.

Snow, ice and cold temperatures have led to treacherous conditions on roads throughout Ireland over the past few days and motorists are being urged to take care on the roads.

Gardaí also warned road users to “exercise extreme caution” on the roads and urged motorists to leave appropriate space between them and drivers in front of them particularly on untreated roads.
