A very brave woman.
A mother in Colorado reportedly saved her five-year-old boy from a lion that entered their back garden.
The young boy was playing in the garden with his brother when a mountain lion pounced on him.
When the woman heard her son screaming she ran to help him and wrestled the animal, pulling the child from its clutches.
The boy’s father then drove his son to a hospital in Denver, with injuries to the neck, face and head. The boy, who has not been named, is in a ‘fair condition’ according to Sky News.
The child’s mother was also injured but was released from hospital after being treated.
The animal was put down and will be examined by officials from Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
There had been several sightings of mountain lions in the area in the days leading up to this attack.
