Dave Hanratty

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses.

Gardaí in Santry are investigating following an incident in which two elderly men were knocked down by a motorcycle earlier this week.

The collision occurred on the Swords Road in Santry on Thursday 19 December 2018 at approximately 9.40pm.

Two male pedestrians, both in their 80s, were knocked down by the motorcycle which failed to remain at the scene on the city-bound side of the roadway adjacent to Morton Stadium.

Both men were taken to hospital where one remains in a serious but stable condition.

The other man was treated for minor injuries.

Gardaí are appealing to the public for anyone who may have witnessed the collision and for any taxi drivers or other motorists with dash-cams who travelled along that stretch of road during the time of the incident.

Anyone with relevant information may contact Santry Garda Station on 01 666 4000 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
