The New York Post, owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp, has flirted with controversy today after publishing a naked photo of Melania Trump on the front page.
Melania Trump, whose name was Knauss before she married business mogul-turned-politican Donald Trump, posed for the photos in a French magazine over 20 years ago.
A Slovenian by birth, Trump began her modelling career at the age of 16. She has featured in high profile magazines such as Vogue, GQ and Vanity Fair.
The Post’s front page features the photo of Melania alongside the headline ‘The Ogle Office: You’ve never seen a potential first lady like this!’ (something Andrew Jackson’s wife Rachel might dispute).

Alé de Basseville, who took the photos for Max magazine, told the Post that “Melania was super-great and a fantastic personality and she was very kind with me.”
The NY Post also endorsed Trump for the Republican candidacy during the long primary campaign.

Many people have taken umbrage with the New York Post’s decision to run with the controversial front page.
Just saw that New York Post cover. Ugh, trash. I really don't care that Melania Trump posed naked, & don't like attempts to shame her.
