Muslim man saves hundreds of lives by hugging an ISIS bomber

Carl Kinsella

ISIS has launched several particularly ferocious attacks in Turkey and Iraq over the last week or so.

A Muslim man by the name of Najih Shaker Al-Baldawi prevented yet another enormous death toll in his home city of Balad, Iraq when he restrained a would-be bomber by hugging him.

The bomber was targeting the Sayyed Mohammad Shrine in Balad. The attack caused 70 injuries and 37 deaths, but the count would have been far higher if not for the selfless actions of Al-Baldawi.

By comparison, a bomb detonated last week in the Kaddar area of Baghdad claimed over 300 lives – the deadliest ISIS bomb attack since the group’s advent.

The shrine was also unharmed, thanks to the heroic bravery of Al-Baldawi, who has been hailed as a martyr.
