It’s not what you’d expect from a unionist party.
The Ulster Unionist Party has released a new video ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in a bid to promote its members.
Not an unusual thing for a political party to do in election season.
But, the UUP does seem to be making an effort to appeal outside its traditional voter base as the three-minute video features a young girl playing with a hurley.
The video, which is available online, states “A union of people is not just a slogan, it’s a vision. A vision for a Northern Ireland that works for everyone”.
It also features a same sex couple, people from different ethnic backgrounds going through their day-to-day working and family life from a variety of environments in the north.
The video also features the announcement of UUP leader Doug Beattie’s appointment to the role.
