Computer says no. An emphatic no.

The odds of winning the Irish National lottery are over eight million to one, so it might seem a bit rich claiming that one randomly selected sequence of numbers has less of a chance of winning than any other.

That said, JOE reader John McCluskey sent us in a ticket that his sister Maria purchased ahead of last night’s draw and we can imagine that any enthusiasm she had about the draw (are we the only ones who think we’re going to win every time we buy a ticket?) quickly evaporated.
