And the best costume award at today’s Dublin Marathon goes to…
Running 26 miles around Dublin is bloody tough as it is, so we can only imagine how hard it is for the marathon competitors who take part while clad in the array of costumes that were in evidence during the Dublin Marathon today.
As usual, there was a wide range of brilliant costumes on show, but perhaps the best was a tribute by Donal Troddyn to everyone’s favourite astronaut Chris Hadfield, who provided no end of amazing pictures while aboard the International Space Station recently.
Chris, of course, has a special affinity with Ireland; his daughter attends Trinity College, he received an award from the Lord Mayor of Dublin, he’s tweeted as Gaeilge and put together all his pictures of Ireland together in one book and he was particularly appreciative of Donal’s efforts earlier today.
