This is very sad.
The Irish Times have a story today about Sean Rowlette and Michael Kivlehan who had a two-hour meeting with Minister for Health Leo Varadkar yesterday.
The three men sat down to discuss the safety of maternity services in Ireland and the talks were described as “productive.”
The reason is because both men lost their wives following childbirth at Sligo Regional Hospital, and they want to make sure another family doesn’t have to go through the same pain.
Sean Rowlette has four kids and they wanted him to deliver this letter they wrote to Minster Varadkar.
Speaking after the meeting the men said they were pleased with the assurances given by Varadkar.
